How to Change the Bonzer Can Opener Wheel

We recommend that wheels are changed at the same time as changing the blade to optomise performance of the product. Over time the grip of the wheel will wear due to friction caused while rotating cans, this will lead to the wheel slipping against the can rim. We recommend the change the wheel and blade at least every 1,500 cans.

Changing a wheel on a Classic, EZ20, EZ40, EZ 60 and Titan Image title

Ensure can opener is sitting in base in the correct position for use

Do not remove the trigger mechanism on EZ models.

Engage the handle into operational mode (down position)

Place the metal rod (provided with new wheel) in the back right hand side of the wheel and wind the handle anticlockwise until the handle becomes loose.

Lift the handle out of the head & wipe shaft clean.

Remove the wheel from the chamber by sliding the wheel out the back of the head of the can opener

Replace with a new wheel ensuring the Bonzer® text side is facing downward (label on wheel must face upwards)

Insert handle and push down firmly to reconnect.

Place metal rod in the back left hand side and wind the handle clockwise until you feel it lock.

When locked in position no need to tighten firmly, it will hold its position. Over tightening can cause damage.
